What's changed
Each E.S.D. missionary comes to ESD supported financially by a sending church. ESD missionaries receive no salary from ESD or WMD. Each ESD missionary adheres to the Doctrinal Statement of Faith of ESD, and is responsible to raise their own financial support for the time of their service to the Lord at ESD. All ESD missionaries are born-again Christians.  Pray for the staff.
Jennifer Johnson serving at ESD since July 2006 is from Glendora Friends Church, Glendora CA.  In Puerto Rico, Jen attends and is actively involved in the Palmas Community Church. In the 2009-10 school year, Jen will be teaching the early elementary students who encompass three grade levels.  Jen also helps with the general other work of the mission including grounds and office work.

Stefanie Beals joined us at the end of August 2009 coming to us from Honesdale PA where she attends Honesdale Gospel Tabernacle. For the past two years, she travelled and served with Encounter Revival Ministry.  In the 2009-2010 school year, Stefanie is working along with Jen in the early elementary classroom.

Earlene helps Kristian during Reading for Enjoyment time.

Elisabeth Hoke from Calvary Bible Church, Hanover, PA began at ESD in August 1984.
During the 2009-10 school year, she will be teaching the older students almost fulltime. Betsy will continue to carry out duties of  school administrator and teacher as well as overseeing the general running of the mission.

Judy More from Christchurch New Zealand's Opawa Baptist Church visited ESD Jan-Feb 2006 and returned for the 2007 calendar year to work as a teacher in our classrooms.  Judy returned to ESD  from September 2008 through May 2009 as a visitor and was granted a visa to come to work with us through May 2012.

Earlene and Norm Benson from Groton, NY have been working with the ESD staff since 1997. Their home church is West Groton Bible Church.  As our "Snow Birds" - they come during the winter months when the farm is quiet. Earlene teaches English,  encourages the teachers and assists with special students requiring tutoring. Norm takes care of the Grounds/Maintenance work, keeps a garden growing for our enjoyment, and shows us what consistent faithful service looks like. The Bensons are a huge blessing to our ministry.
